Our goal is to give young male and female athletes the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of basketball while competing against the top teams at the regional and national levels. PAL Elite will offer a program which will develop and improve their individual skills as well as the team's; promote good sportsmanship; and encourage club loyalty. PAL Elite demands a high degree of ethical conduct by all coaches, players, volunteers and parents in order to provide a good example for the community, oponents and other PAL Elite players. By accomplishing these goals, PAL Elite will equip our players with necessary competitve and technical skills to play at the junior high, high school and college level.

COACHING PHILSOPHY AND STRATEGY

It will be the responsibility of the coaches to develop the team members’ individual character, physical skills and knowledge of the game of basketball. Success is built on disciplined practice and training which in turn leads to success in games and the development of the player. PAL Elite coaches will share a common philosophy, the same coaching concepts and training, thereby providing continuity and consistency in the learning environment.

Our method of instruction shall include Tell, Show, and Drill. Tell shall include verbal instructions. Show shall take place by coaches or assistants and repeated by players. Drill shall include the use of the specific fundamentals and repeated many times to ensure proper execution. PAL Elite coaches will meet regularly to discuss team and player development and strategy.

Goals and Objectives

1. Offer a program that focuses on basketball skills development, team play, basketball education, and provide team players with an opportunity to have fun.
2. Provide affordable membership to all those who are willing and able to make a commitment to our club.
3. Provide coaching of the highest quality available and use other resources that enhance player development.
4. Strive to seek out the strongest competition. Strong competition helps the team improve and alerts us to areas where we need to improve.
5. Be an example of class and quality, conducting ourselves in an honorable and sportsmanlike manner, on and off the court.
6. Promote member family involvement.
